OLD CHESTNUTS By FIROZ MAHMUD
Firoz Mahmud made numerous classical drawings and paintings during his early academic life.He worked about a decade in a slum, green groceries, rail station, and in his old-dilapidated studio at green groceries empty 3rd floor market near Dhaka New Market.
Here are few examples of Firoz Mahmud`s primary art practices at early ages. Few are pencil drawings, few are watercolors on paper and few are with oil paintings on canvas. During his art institution in 90`s he received seven best medium art prizes including Shilpachariya Zainul Abedin Gold Medal, Experimental painting prize, Drawing Best Prize, Oil Painting Best Prize, Watercolor Best Prize, Pen Sketch Best Prize and Pencil Sketch Best Prize.
